Champions League and Championship Play Off Final Previews
Saturday May 29 has been a date in the diary for English football fans for some time now, with two excellent games taking place. In the afternoon we will find out who will make it to the Premier League, with the Championship playoff final taking place, followed by the Champions League final in the evening.
Brentford v Swansea – Championship Playoff Final - Ko 3.00pm
Brentford take on Swansea in a game that is often referred to as being the biggest money game in football. We saw the best and worst of Brentford in the semi-finals, eventually coming good in the second-leg but struggling at times in the first, a game they lost to Bournemouth.
Swansea showed quality in both games, and over the course of the two legs they didn’t create too many chances, but have quality in abundance, and the right players to finish the job. This combined with their big game experience, and knowledge of what is required to make the Premier League will really help them here and could well be the difference between the two teams.
Expect The Swans to keep this game very tight, both teams won’t want to make any mistakes and we could see them winning this one, while also seeing under 2.5 goals in total.

Manchester City v Chelsea – Champions League Final - Ko 8.00pm
The Champions League final gives us an all-English affair, with Premier League winners Manchester City looking to add the Champions League to that success.
Chelsea will feel they certainly have a chance though, with The Blues beating Manchester City twice since Thomas Tuchel came into the club earlier this season. One of those wins was an FA Cup semi-final win, so Chelsea have already beaten City in a big game.
However, although that has happened, in terms of the quality we have seen from these two teams over the full season, Man City have certainly shown more. This is especially the case in attack, Chelsea have struggled for goals at times, with Timo Werner failing to live up to his price tag so far.
Manchester City don’t play with a striker on occasions, but that hasn’t stopped the likes of Phil Foden and Kevin de Bruyne both creating and scoring goals in equal measure. Chelsea should fancy themselves given recent meetings, but we think Manchester City will come out on top and show that they have a little bit of extra quality to make the difference.
We fancy a tight start, but City to show their quality as both teams settle into the game.
