Premier League Treble 27-28 April
Only four games remain for most sides in the 2023/24 Premier League season, with the Match Day 35 fixtures featuring a host of intriguing encounters likely to impact the title, European positions, and battle to beat the drop. Here, we pick out our three best bets, including in the huge North London derby on Sunday afternoon.
West Ham vs Liverpool – Saturday 12:30pm
The weekend entertainment gets underway at the London Stadium as the Hammers and Reds bid to bounce back from disastrous results last time out – West Ham battered 5-2 at Crystal Palace, and Liverpool seeing their title challenge as good as ended at Goodison Park.
Morale didn’t appear to be great in the Liverpool camp at the end of that Goodison Park debacle, and they may struggle to regain their mojo in time for this. Only a month ago, the quadruple remained on the table - now they seem almost certain to have only the Carabao Cup to show for their campaign. Only two points adrift of Newcastle in seventh, West Ham still have a shot at European football, which, in combination with home advantage, may give them the edge. David Moyes' men generally can't be trusted at the back, so take a chance on West Ham to win and Both Teams to score.

Bournemouth vs Brighton – Sunday 2pm
Bournemouth and Brighton likely have half an eye on their summer holidays. In no danger of relegation and falling away from the European positions, this looks like one of the most pressure-free fixtures of the weekend. In late-season games such as this, it is common to see sides play with more attacking freedom than had previously been the case. Hopefully, that scenario will unfold here and create an open game.
Bournemouth have hit two or more in eight of their last 12 home fixtures, so look solid to live up to their side of the bargain. However, Brighton have seemed out of sorts of late, scoring just once across their past four Premier League games. With the visitors having shipped two or more in over half of their Premier League away fixtures, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Bournemouth run away with this one.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal – Sunday 2pm
Liverpool’s title dreams were dashed at the home of their bitter rivals in midweek. Now Mikel Arteta and Arsenal must attempt to avoid the same fate. Anything other than three points in this one may represent the nail in the coffin of their impressive title challenge. However, we fancy the Gunners to get the job done.
Arsenal have been in magnificent form on their travels of late, picking up six wins in their last seven, scoring 24 times across those games, and conceding only once. The form of the sides coming into the game could scarcely be more contrasting – Spurs were battered 4-0 at Newcastle, whilst Arsenal humiliated Chelsea in a 5-0 rout. Spurs will always be an attacking threat and seem likely to at least get on the scoresheet, but Arsenal hold a huge edge in terms of organisation and defensive solidity and can keep the title push rolling in an entertaining encounter.
