Premier League Treble Bet - 3rd October
The final round of Premier League fixtures before another international break takes place this weekend, and four of the games are being played on Sunday, including the biggest game of the round.
This is of course Manchester City’s trip to Liverpool, one of the three games we cover in our Premier League weekend treble this Sunday.
Crystal Palace v Leicester – 2pm
The first game we go to is Crystal Palace v Leicester and it is fair to say that both of these teams are really struggling right now. Leicester, expected to push for the top six this season, go into the weekend in 13th, with just two wins from six games.
They come here on the back of a loss in the Europa League on Thursday and look in desperate need of getting to the international break and regrouping before trying to kick on. Crystal Palace are performing no better, with just one win from six.
Both teams will be on edge here, they won’t want to lose and that should lead to a shortage of goals. We’ll keep it simple with the first game and go for under 2.5 goals in this one to kick off the treble.
West Ham v Brentford – 2pm
Brentford have really impressed on their arrival in the Premier League and look as though they have plenty to give in this league. They’ve played without fear, which has enabled them to score goals, but it has left them looking likely to concede too.
After a great win at Leeds last weekend, and another in the Europa League on Thursday, West Ham come here in good form. Brentford can trouble The Hammers, but ultimately, we think the home side will come out on top here, in what should be a very entertaining and high scoring game.
It’s West Ham to win and both teams to score for us in this one.
Liverpool v Manchester City – 4:30pm
Onto the biggest clash of the weekend and one that should be a great game to watch. Unlike City's victory at Chelsea last weekend, expect to see a very open game here, with plenty of attacking chances for both teams.
We know they both have match winners, and all the big names will want to impress, given how big the game is, as it will determine who is top of the table for the international break. In terms of a winner, we are struggling to pick one, but when it comes to betting on the game, we want to be on goals here.
City are averaging two per game in the Premier League while Liverpool are averaging more than that, and we don’t expect anyone to hold back.
Our final leg of the treble is over 3.5 goals, as we fancy this to be high-scoring, but cannot pick a winner between these two.
